We arrive embodied into an infinite desert which we soon flood with a sea of stories. We share these stories with one another to better understand our world, ourselves, what is beyond our control, the human condition. My contribution to the deluge of the 21st century is a visually-oriented conversation with the dualism between artificial and natural, real and virtual, private and public, internal and external. Throughout this conversation runs a continued interest in the interface, those defining barriers to a shared experience.
My work draws upon a diverse set of media that includes video, digital photography, code, interactive performance, constructed and found physical objects such as plants, minerals, and consumer goods, as well as traditional fine art media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and papermaking.
